Hello my dear friends! thanks for following along. here's an update from gloomy Illinois! With Christmas and the general revelry over, we're gradually settling into the slow days of January. Long days are spent designing lots of new items, (can't wait to show you!) working on our own personal projects, lots of hot chocolate and lots of cheesy movies. Grab a blanket, make yourself a cup of tea, and step into our world for just a couple of minutes. You might like it here :) 1. Heading into a new year always get's us thinking about the big stuff. Where we're headed, what we're ...

This Month in Photos: November, 2018 (get ready for Christmas spam, people.)
Did you know that we like Christmas? If you know us, you know one thing. We don't like Christmas. We live for Christmas. All month long, after that magical day after Thanksgiving, you will hear nothing but Christmas music, smell nothing but oranges, cloves and cinnamon, eat nothing but Christmas cookies, feel nothing but the warmth of a fire. At our house, that is. It is our happiest time, and the time when we are most free of work (yay!) and we are grateful. December, come at me! #1. Our dear Naomi's birthday was yesterday, and she is now the ripe old age of 17! Can you ...
The Month in Photos: September 2018
Whaaaaat? It's October already? How did this even happen?! And yet here we are. The leaves are falling, the nights are getting colder, and the cider flows endlessly at our house. September may have rushed by, but I love, love, love this time of year, so I'm not too upset. It's the Zimmerman girls favorite time of year, and I hope you're loving it and soaking up every minute of it too. 1. you know what fall means, of course! Time for our Christmas Open House! I really mean it guys when I say that this will be our best one yet. I cannot wait for you guys to see all the goodies in ...
The Month in Photos: August, 2018 (GULF SHORES, ALABAMA)
So, I guess summer is mostly over now...*sob* Oh well, guess it's time to move on to autumn! Yeah, you won't find me mourning the end of summertime any time soon. The sweating, the heat, the yard work? How am I supposed to miss that? Despite my casual hatred of summer, I am rather sad to see it go this year. Despite the bugs, the extra laundry, and less sleep, I am so thankful for all the things we got to do this year. Travelling, vacationing, lots of swimming pools...I'm grateful. Let me show you why. #1 Our sweet Ember continues to grow, here she is telling Naomi to go to ...
The Month in Photos: July 2018 (Galena, birthdays and many straw hats)
Hey there, girlfriend! This month was ABSOLUTELY beautiful. a taste of summer, a bit of r&r and lots and lots of time with Ember. Sound like the perfect month? I agree. Lets go. #1 You've probably already seen photos from this trip, and you're about to see many more. Sorry, not sorry. When I mentioned a trip to my grandma, she told me one thing. "Write it all down." So I try to. I also like to take a lot of photos when the time is right, because I can be very forgetful. And I don't want to forget stuff like this :) #2 Also, another throwback from that lovely photoshoot ...

Thanks for being here, friend! And thanks for keeping track of us. We appreciate you. This month, we did something AH-MAZING. and we can't wait to share the results with you. #1 A photo shoot. But not just any photo shoot, a real dream-come-true-photoshoot! The location is TO DIE FOR. #2 Despite how incredibly bored Naomi appears, this shoot was just so fun. A vintage opera house in El Paso, Illinois?! I mean, how did we get so lucky? #3 I know, I know. I just keep going on about this place and I'm not showing you any photos, but you know what they say about good things! ...
Month in Photos: April, 2018 (this one was a good one)
Welcome, friend! This one was a special one. I mean, a really special one. In the best way. Got you curious? Just wait till #6. 1. Daddy's birthday called for a special celebration, of course held in our gorgeous new Bed and Breakfast! It was a surprise for him, and I really think he loved it. 2# Busyness in general. I mean, really, who decides to run a business and open a B&B at the same time? #3 Business always means one thing: tea and crackers. It's really how we make through those long days, guys. #4 Also carbs. Those help too. #5 We ...
Photos of the Month: March 2018
What a month, folks! These quiet winter months are my absolute favorite. Days spent never leaving the house, getting some of those indoor projects done. #1 First off, donuts. Donuts are something that we end up getting from Dave's supermarket at LEAST once a week. It's an addiction. #2 Naptime, no other description necessary. #3 Spring, my foot! It doesn't feel one bit like spring. I mean, this was a full-blown snowstorm! I mean, I enjoyed it...But some spring now would be nice. #4 This snow of course tempted us to a snowfight, a temptation which we can never resist. Photo ...
The Month in Photos: February 2018
A note to you: I hope you know how much we appreciate you. Without you, we never would have made it this far. We never could have found a way to stay at home work creatively. Your support is the most valuable thing to us, even if that just means reading this blog post. Every like, every comment keeps us where we want to be; at home, sharing what we love with people we love. So thank you. We appreciate you. #1 This is pretty much a visual representation of what Illinois looks like now. The words cold, rainy, wet and muddy come to mind. #2 It's actually kind of embarrassing ...
Photos of the Month: January, 2018
It may not seem like it from the lack of posting around here, but yes, we are still alive. The only problem with having a blog is that you have to do stuff to actually post about it. Therefore, when you don't do much, you will have a very difficult time posting! #1 FINALLY, Lydia has had time to hone her coffee-making skills. Lattes for days. #2 In a rather unique series of events, we ended up in possession of our late great aunts house across the street. It was a beautiful house, but it really needed some love. So, for about a solid three weeks, that's all we did. Three weeks of TLC, ...
