Hello friends! This last New Years Eve, a few minutes after midnight, dad made a comment about this decade. Only he didn’t say decade. In the fog of late night thinking, he said accidentally said century. This amused everyone to no end, but beyond that, it got me thinking.
This decade has felt huge to me. Most of my life has been lived in it. All of my nieces were all born in it. Sassy Sparrow was entirely developed in it. In truth, it has felt like a century. But the luckiest century ever. We have known so many, and far less griefs. And I am equally grateful for both.

1.
the felicity was also born in this decade! Small potatoes compared to my little nieces, but still something.

2.
One of our favorite traditions is to make a gingerbread house each year! And this one was particularly exceptional, if I do say so myself.

3.
We love doing matching pajamas every year! I think the girls really liked joining in this year. Except for maybe Afton, who looks slightly irritated.

4.
We were so blessed to travel so much this year! From texas to michigan to georgia to tennessee to indiana back to texas again.

5.
And of course we had to try coffee in every place…some things never change.

6.
Lydia probably spent the most time in the sewing room, more than any other year. We are so so grateful for a small base of customers that just keep coming back! You guys are the ones that make the magic happen each and every day.

7.
And of course the Vienna…I dare say our artsiest bag yet.

8.
At the end of the year, we’re also grateful for each other. Mostly grateful for this woman that keeps it all going. Whether its booking hotels, buying us treats to cajole us back to work, or encouraging us with her lovely spirit, mom is the one that runs the whole system. And we love her for it.

9.
Our brother is not the most cheerful member of the family, to say the least.

10.
In the end, I hope that this year isn’t your most prosperous yet. Or your most career advancing yet. But rather, your sweetest year. The one that stays in your heart always. May kindness follow your every step, and loving beyond measure become a deeply ingrained habit. This is what will make your year the happiest and most contented yet. And I want that for all of you! God bless you in this year.
