So, I guess summer is mostly over now…*sob*
Oh well, guess it’s time to move on to autumn!
Yeah, you won’t find me mourning the end of summertime any time soon. The sweating, the heat, the yard work? How am I supposed to miss that?
Despite my casual hatred of summer, I am rather sad to see it go this year. Despite the bugs, the extra laundry, and less sleep, I am so thankful for all the things we got to do this year. Travelling, vacationing, lots of swimming pools…I’m grateful. Let me show you why.

Our sweet Ember continues to grow, here she is telling Naomi to go to sleep…over and over again. She is so precious! I don’t know how we ever did without her.

#2
Leah on the beach holding a sweaty, sleepy little Iri. Poor thing did so well on the beach! She even took a long nap with only a blanket between her and the sand! Such a trooper.

#3
Gulf Shores, Alabama! Possibly the hottest place on earth, but also the most fun. This was the pier, bringing cooling breezes and precious relief to our tired and overly warm selves.

#4
We ran a sale, and it was absolutely lovely! Thank you to everyone who took part!

AMAAAZING NEWS: We are getting some merch made up for our show season!! By the guys who designed the shirts we’re wearing in the picture! Be sure to pick up one so you can rep the team. They are seriously the softest shirts ever and this is really a dream come true for us.

#6
Gelato in Gulf Shores. I mean, we had to relieve the heat somehow, right? Gelato was pretty much necessary.

#7
A dramatic picture of us in case you forgot how incredibly dramatic we can be! We like to mix things up, I would hate to be predictable!

#8
There were some touristy attractions in Gulf Shores that were so fun, which usually isn’t our favorite, but we hit the town and we actually had some really lovely shopping one day! Lesson learned: don’t be afraid of the touristy stuff, it’s not all bad.

You get the idea. I mean, she’s pretty cute, right?!

If you saw us this summer, we were probably wearing straw hats. The Zimmerman girls fear the sun like it’s the plague. According to us, it pretty much is.
It was really a summer to be grateful, and as I sit here in our home, already filled with the busyness of the fall, I am so grateful. The opportunity to take a step back, slow things down a bit, and get acquainted with those you love the most should never be taken for granted.
Lots of La Croix, pizza, laughter, breezy sunday afternoon drives, and crickets chirping peacefully in the evening. You may have won me over, summer.
