Hello my friends! So, it’s over. The open house was a roaring success! It was insanely busy. Really, we can’t thank everyone enough for coming up! We never dreamed of it being so amazing. Here’s a brief recap:
Saturday (not even a week ago!!) we finished everything up. The kitchen was cleaned, the floors swept and the drinks ready to be prepared. We spent Sunday with the usual feelings of excitement mixed with equal parts anxiety and anticipation.
The day had finally come! We got out of the house late (who is surprised) and were in a huge hustle to get everything ready by 9:00.
This truck was the unexpected bonus of the whole thing! We had badly wanted a truck and had tried multiple sources, but we were beginning to think we just wouldn’t get it. Finally, a matter of days before, we got word around our small town and were able to borrow this beauty from a guy in town! He was proud to show it off, and we were proud to have it 🙂
The Coffee Steamer always adds such a festive mood, and they didn’t disappoint! We had quite an embarrassing number of coffees ourselves, despite the long line.
And of course, the truck made for the perfect photo opportunity. Ember (and we) can never resist a good photo opportunity. Not only was it amazing for the Sassy Sparrow, it was really lovely and connecting from a communal perspective. Seeing locals dressed up and enjoying the occasion together was so neat to be a part of. And of course, it was socially fabulous. We spent way too long chatting it up, but I’m not to worried about it 🙂 So thank you, everyone who came out! We SO value your attendance. Don’t forget to get it on your calendar for next year! Love you guys.
