Last Wednesday we set out for Waterford, Virginia to set up a booth at the Waterford Festival. It was forecasted to rain all three days of the show but we decided to just have faith and let the show go on. So, we arrived in Virginia on Wednesday and planned on getting up early on Thursday morning to get set up and then head into Mount Vernon in the afternoon.
Things didn’t exactly go according to plan.
We got three quarters of the way set up and then someone told us they were considering cancelling the show due to hurricane Joaquin. Sniff, sniff….. It’s okay, we’re not heartbroken or anything silly like that. Kind of.
Tears aside, the show got canceled but once we got our booth taken down we got to go into Mount Vernon to see the home of George Washington!
It was a little cold and rainy but we didn’t mind. We’re all fall-loving people.
So, despite our disapointment we were able to come home Friday and have a really nice relaxing weekend! There’s an upside to every rain cloud. 🙂
