Hey everybody! I’m just writing this post to tell you guys that yes, we are still in the land of the living! We are just feeling a little bit relaxed about the whole posting thing! But, yesterday the guilt got to me so I am just going to share a few pictures of some of the things we have been so busy with over the last couple weeks.
We got to see our little nephew for a week over Christmas!
The little guy is getting so big!
This picture takes some explaining. We went bowling with a group of friends about a week ago. We all had a blast and really enjoyed it! But…. I started looking through pictures to pick out for this post and I came across this one. Yes, this is me. It seems to me like a very strange method of bowling. All I could think when I saw this for the first time was “This is what I looked the whole time we were bowling?! Why didn’t someone warn me that I looked like a maniac?!” So that is the explanation for this very strange picture.
When it got to below 0 degrees in Illinois a couple weeks ago I found some gorgeous ice patterns on our windows!
Naomi’s birthday fell on the day that we had to travel to New York for the Christmas Bazaar, so we had a birthday party once we got back. But mom still wanted to make it up to her so we had a few of her friends over for the day and had a late birthday party. We played chopped. Chopped the game is where you have to make something using a list of ingredients that are given to you, you can use anything in the kitchen but you have to use all the ingredients that were on the list in your recipe. You are judged on presentation, creativity, and taste. For our game we had to use: potato chips, coconut, cooking sherry, buckwheat pancake mix, and chocolate chips. Yeah, weird stuff.
These are the resulting dishes. This one was made by Lydia, Lexi, and I.
This one was made by Leah and Kate. It was delicious. Really delicious. Maybe a little bit too delicious.
This dish was created by Naomi, Megan, and Elise.
So, those are some of the things we have been doing over the last couple of weeks. I would promise that I would be more regular in my posting but….. I can’t make any guarantees!
Love, Grace
