Hey Guys! Here’s our post about the Saint Paul Minn. Back to the 50’s car show. Sorry it’s taken so long!
Preparations to leave! Notice all the of the stuff piled everywhere. š I would like to make it known that I had the smallest suitcase of all three of us older girls! (The suitcase that I’m sitting on in this picture, by the way.)
It takes a few minutes for all of us girls to get all organazized in our perspective seats. š
I think Leah is showing the camera her ouchie but I can’t really be sure on that. š
I’ll have you all know that Grace was torturing me while I was trying to sleep! She kept poking me with pretzels. Hence the reason for my book being firmly situated on my face.
Yeah, I’m really feeling that this is not a very good look for me, you know the “I’ve been in the car for seven and a half hours and got up too early this morning look.”
It rained part of the way on our trip so when we were almost to the hotel we saw a double rainbow! It’s hard to see but there is actually a second rainbow to the right of the picture if you look really close.
So, Gracie caught these beauties as the sun was going down and the rain was just letting up. This was a chance shot of a tree that she took while the van was still moving, but the sun was right behind it. I think this is so beautiful!
Some more lovely rain pictures!
This is setup the morning after we arrived in St. Paul.
I think this picture of Hannah is adorable. Doesn’t she look like an over eager chipmunk to you guys? š
Putting flower pins on our brand new burlap pillows.
Daddy is incredible! He had to redesign the whole booth from our usual set up for french hens and did an awesome job of it!
Wow. I’m actually quite impressed by this picture. I can’t believe that little half pint can hold so many bags!
This is about half-way through the process. You know how they always say “It’s going to get worse before it gets better?” Well, they must have been thinking of us setting up our booth when they said that because it can tend to look a little chaotic for a while!
These faces mean we’re ready to be done setting up!! Like an hour ago!
Grace repeatedly tried to take embarrassing pictures of me! It was awful! However, I successfully thwarted her plans time and time again!
Naomi!
It was really hot outside and the booth next to us was empty save for a humongous fan. So of course we set up our lawn chairs in there for the people taking the break from the booth.
We did get plenty of opportunity’s to go out and see the cars. We would just take turns in the booth. Here’s some of our favorites.
There were tons of people there! They said that there were 12,000 cars at the show! I am positive that I didn’t see all of them. š
We thought this one was especially humorous.
The show is held at the St. Paul fairgrounds so a lot of the food vendors and rides were open to the public. We try to steer away from the fried corn dogs and such. š
We got a kick out of this car, doesn’t it just look like the delorium from the Back to the Future trilogy?
This has got to be the longest car I have ever seen!
We were treated to a small air show on our second day in Saint Paul
We were in a building called the Woman’s World. In the mornings all the ladies would be lined up outside the building because the first one thousand ladies would receive a free women’s world bag. So they would direct them into a line snaking through the building to the back where they were handing out the bags. Well, one day Leah got stuck directing human traffic. This is her best “one way” imitation. š
Here’s some pictures of our booth. Here’s the clutches, headbands and assorted purses.
We couldn’t put our picture up on the easel because we didn’t have room but daddy found a pleasing alternative by screwing it to the underside of the sign.
Here’s our brand new pillows! We have burlap and fabric pillows. You have the option of picking out flower pins to go on your pillow. So fun! I would never be able to decide!
Some more of our pillows were displayed to the front of the booth and of course front and center are our market bags.
We had a really good time looking around at and shopping and running our booth. Be sure to check in soon for our Saint Paul Show Part 2!
