This little Sassy Sparrow went to market! The Three French Hens market that is.
We had to get up at 4:00 in the morning which wasn’t pleasant but it was worth it.
This is us setting up. A little stressful because we didn’t know what we were doing! Somehow we got it all set up before the market opened. 🙂
The front of our booth. We put the verse that inspired our business name on a chalk board at the front of our booth. The verse is Matt. 2:29 “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father. (Even if the sparrows can be a little bit sassy at times.) 🙂
Our genius Daddy made the front of our booth out of two old screen doors attached to the side of the booth and then the big sign went on top.
All of our stuff! We were so worried that we would have too much stuff or not enough, or if we were too fancy or not fancy enough etc. etc. I think it turned out OK though. 🙂
We decided to give a portion of our profits to the Tread on Trafficking fundraiser that Grace and I are doing. You probably can’t read it in this picture, but the chalkboard just had a little blip about love146 and what our goal is in raising money.
The two little chairs were for Leah and Naomi. Naomi sat back behind the trunk displaying her handy work and crocheted most of the day!
Our new splat mats! They’re awesome for under highchairs or for kneeling on while gardening or. we have a friend who’s kids even use it for sledding in the snow!
The thing that the purses and mirror are hanging on was something that we found in one of the houses that we were flipping and during a slow day I painted flowers all over it. Mom has tried to sneakily dispose of it many times, but all her plans have been foiled. It weights like 100 pounds! But it was perfect for the purses so luckily we now have a use for it, annoying as it is.
Another of our displays.
Also, our new market bags! We sold quite a few. They’re lined with oil cloth so you can clean them out with a damp cloth and are also made with a more heavy duty fabric than the purses.
It was tight, but we fit all the stuff we brought into the booth!
Hannah’s a little bit chilly!
I didn’t get enough sleep the night before OK?!
Interesting face. She looks a little stressed. 🙂
Daddy’s grouchy face.
Daddy’s happy face. 🙂
We had a really good time despite the scattered showers and cold wind. We were very encouraged by the comments we received from people that came into our booth. Everyone liked our things!

Arrgh!!!! I'm so jealous right now!!! You girls do the cutest things! The displays were so clever and totally fit your personality (I especially loved the old luggage). You've got the Midas touch for these sorts of things. I can't wait to see what you come up with next! Beautiful work ladies! ;^)
I visited your booth and thought it looked amazing!! 🙂 Great job! I have recently started making bags and girls clothing and some other odds and ends…you girls give me a lot of inspiration that I can maybe sell in the future too! 🙂
