I’m sure we all know of someone that is currently serving in the military or has served in the past. How many of you know one that has paid the ultimate cost for your freedom? We do. He gave his life for us in Afghanistan on Oct. 1, 2011. Our lives are forever changed. He knew the risks and danger, but he also knew he was doing exactly what God called him to do. Freedom is not free and we should remember those who have payed the price so we can enjoy it. So the next time you have an opportunity, thank someone that has so freely sacrificed on your behalf.
In memory of one that was like a brother to us: we will NEVER forget!
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
Eccl. 2:25
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13
