Introducing our wall art! We first began creating wall art when Grace came up with the idea as a gift for our brother and his wife for Christmas. So we set about making them their set of boards and spent hours and hours on it. 🙂 The result was acceptable and Alex and Elia loved them, so that’s a plus. 🙂 On Christmas morning we were skyping with Jake and Bethany in Texas and when we showed them the wall art, they were very excited and hinted that they were looking forward to maybe receiving a set of their own for Christmas when we came down to visit them in January. Well, we hadn’t actually made them a set so… we got busy. 🙂 Anyway, the night we celebrated Christmas in Texas (a month late), as prearranged, we waited until well after all the presents had been opened so we could see if they would drop any hints about us making them a set in the near future. Then we planned to go to the van and retrieve their set. When the subject finally came up, we did just that and they were very surprised. 🙂 Then when a dear friend of ours was touring Alex and Elia’s house, she saw their set of wall art and asked us if we would make her one as well, so we did. 🙂 The most recent set we made was for a charity auction for one of our church ministries.
Alex and Elia’s set. In Chinese it says, Faith, Courage, Joy and Family.
This is Jake and Bethany’s set. In Greek it says, Strength, Courage, Family and Love.
This is our friends with a custom quote that she requested.
This is the set for the auction. We chose four Hebrew names for God.
On this latest set for the auction Dad had the idea that we should record ourselves painting the art. So over a period of two days we did. And here’s the result. 🙂 We may look a little abnormal, but that’s because it’s been sped up sixty four times it’s normal speed. We didn’t want to make you watch a six hour video. 🙂 If interested in your own set of custom made artwork, contact us here on our blog by leaving a comment or emailing us. Hope you enjoy!
