Hey Guys! When we were on this trip, our agenda was to build new homes for people whose homes had been destroyed in the storms. We had four homes that we were working on throughout the week. Each house was at different points of development, so on different days we painted, hung drywall, put down floors, hung insulation and even dug a trench! However, I was to scared to take my camera on the job site so I didn’t get any pictures of any of the houses. But, they had certain people stay back at the camp to make some curtains and decorations for some of the people’s houses. I stayed at the camp for several days to help sew curtains, pillows and fun stuff like that, and it was tons of fun!
Lexi, sewing curtains. 🙂
The ladies, discussing which way we should attach the ribbons to the curtains.
One of the ladies bought this bedspread and a whole bunch of satin . We then cut the satin into circles, burned the edges, and glued them together to make flowers. I think we were technically supposed to sew the flowers onto the bedspread but it was extremely hard…. so we just glued them on instead! 🙂
Lydia painted some cute wall art for a little girl’s bedroom. She makes a hilarious face when she’s concentrating. I wish I had snapped a picture of it!
I still wish I had taken some pictures from the work site, but I suppose I was just being a little paranoid because we just got our camera fixed a couple weeks ago, so I wasn’t exactly taking any chances! Tomorrow I think I’ll just post a bunch of fun pictures from the trip, so be sure to check in!
